Sheet Metal

Our sheet metal equipment includes 4 lasers, 7 press brakes, 1 waterjet, 1 grainer, 2 PEM machines, and 3 saws. We are geared up and ready to tackle low, and high volume projects from small flat pieces to large tubular frames. Click on Equipment above to see our equipment details.

Fabrication

Our Fabrication department contains 13 workcells  with Miller welders (MIG & TIG). We have fabricated frames as big as 12’X6’X8′. We  work with CRS, HRS, brushed stainless steel, mirror stainless steel, titanium (2 zero oxygen weld chambers), and more. Our  certified welders are ready and willing to tackle any challenge. Quality

Our Quality department consists of equipment that allows us to maintain as low as ±.0005. Our CMM, Hexagon arm, and other equipment are listed on the EQUIPMENT page. We also utilize a thickness gage, and spectrophotometer to help us maintain our quality in Powder coat. Steelhead Metal Corp. accepts responsibility for the complete satisfaction of its customers. Machine Shop

Our Machine shop contains 48 CNC Mills, with capabilities up to one with a 161.4″ x 63″ work area, and 4 Multi-Axis turning centers, a CMM with an 84″x50″ inspection surface, and optical comparator. Automated Powder Coat

Our automated powder coat line handles small and large production runs. It contains a phosphate wash with 2 rinse stages, automated powder coat guns with a reclaim unit, 300′ curing oven, and manual booth.   A new zirconium pre-wash will be added in the spring of 2024

Layout

Our Layout Department utilizes up to date software to program our CNC equipment, and create documentation needed to aid in the welding, or assembly of customer products.
